Member Of Excellence AwardI have initiated and had approved a special State Chapter Award. This award is in honor of my father-inlaw, Charles E. Moore, who was instrumental in the organization of Chapter 12.
This award was designed to honor members who go above and beyond to keep the club viable for all, like my father-in-law did. An old Hitch Ball trophy was found on E-Bay and it will be used by Chapter 12 to engrave each honored members name. A panel of three club members: one present officer, one past officer, and one non-officer will decided the winner. The three members appointed to choose the deserving member are Allan Hauth, Arly Sendker, and Joni Parkhill. They will have specific criteria to follow in making their decision. The award will be presented to the M.O.E. at the International Rally, who will keep it until the next year's presentation.Each Chapter in NY State will have an award and elect an M.O.E. Each Chapter will select their own style trophy. It is my desire to see this idea spread to the National level and include all Chapters.
